AGIGA TECH is now a UNIGEN COMPANY

Newark, California. May 7, 2021 – Unigen Corporation, a long-time leader in the design and manufacturing of original and custom flash storage and DRAM modules, has acquired AgigA Tech, Inc., a leading provider of high-speed, high-density, battery-free non-volatile memory solutions. The two companies have been collaborating on next-generation DDR4 NVDIMM products for over two years making this a seamless transition.

From AgigA Tech’s inception in 2007, the company’s sole focus has been on making NVDIMMs a standard technology deployed by enterprise storage and server vendors worldwide. By combining AgigA’s technology expertise with Unigen’s operations, there is a significant opportunity to build upon AgigA’s success and to deliver products with substantial value to the combined customer base.

The following are the key pieces to this deal:

• The AgigA Tech team will transfer to Unigen – product development and product support will be assumed by Unigen. This includes, but is not limited to, NVDIMM-N products, PowerGEM® products, firmware, drivers, documentation, etc
• Unigen will continue to develop and manufacture the Komodo DDR4 NVDIMM-N products and any future products
• Unigen will take over manufacturing of the PowerGEM products and will continue to develop any future products“Talema is a highly respected global player with strong skills in the design, development and production of magnetic components. With the recent End-Of-Life announcement by Micron of their NVDIMM product line, this will put the combined companies in the best possible position to support customers short- and long-term. For those customers already using Micron NVDIMMs, Komodo will provide a seamless transition as the controller solution and IP for both were developed by AgigA, and are compliant to the JEDEC standards. From a black-box perspective, the host driver, controller interface, and PowerGEM will all be compatible, requiring no or minimal changes.
