MALVERN, Pa., Nov 7, 2001 -- Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) announced today the acquisition of Mallory, a North American Capacitor Company. Mallory is a leading manufacturer of wet tantalum electrolytic capacitors and also manufactures aluminum and audible signal products with manufacturing facilities in Green Castle, Indiana and Glasgow, Kentucky. Mallory also markets and distributes aluminum, tantalum, film and ceramic capacitors. In the fiscal year ended October 31, 2001, Mallory had sales of approximately $44 million.
